The University of Hradec Kralove, the University of Hradec Kralove, is a public university of the university type and is one of the most important educational and research institutions in the East Bohemia region. It was founded in 1992 as the College of Education in Hradec Králové (VŠP), in 2000 it was renamed the University of Hradec Králové. The current rector is prof. Kamil Kuča. The seat of the school is the statutory city of Hradec Králové. The faculty consists of five faculties: the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Informatics and Management, the Faculty of Science and the Institute of Social Work, which fulfill their mission through study, pedagogical, scientific and artistic activities. At present, more than 9,000 students are studying at the university. The university offers nearly 40 accredited degree programs and around 100 accredited study fields.
