Founded in 1995, Haute École Libre Mosane (Mosane Free University College) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the the urban setting of the small city of Liège (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Liege. Officially accredited/recognized by the Direction générale de l'Enseignement non obligatoire et de la Recherche scientifique, Belgique (Directorate General for Non-Compulsory Education and Scientific Research), Haute École Libre Mosane (HELMo) is a medium-sized (enrollment range: 6,000-6,999 students) coeducational higher education institution.
