On September 15, 2007, the Haute Ecole de Namur (HENAM) was founded on the merger of the Namibian Catholic High School (HENaC) and the University of Namur (IESN). It belongs to the network of free Catholic teaching subsidized in the French Community of Belgium. Since September 15, 2011, the university has merged with the Haute Ecole Blaise Pascal, giving birth to the University of Namur-Liège-Luxembourg. It had close to 4,000 students at five sites.
